A LITTLE ABOUT ME!

     Hey, I’m Shelly.

I fell in love with radio as a kid. I listened to it, recorded it and mixed cassettes of my own shows. In an era when a 15-year-old could pester broadcasters for work experience, I did just that and managed to get into Key103 in Manchester. I did anything and everything to gain as many skills and as much knowledge as possible, which landed me a “proper” job in Cardiff. I used to pinch myself daily that I was being paid to do a job I loved - in fact, I still do. 

Recognition in the industry led to an opportunity to return home to Manchester, as part of a larger London-based national team, producing audio for huge brands, and working alongside the most talented creative professionals in the UK. As technology progressed, so did my hunger to learn and push audio beyond what I knew…and even though I now produce some truly innovative work and media firsts, that hunger is still there. I’m constantly searching what’s new, interesting and of use to clients. 

Though, my greatest production to date arrived in 2022; my beautiful son. Along with him came an epiphany- a harmonious vision of balancing work, family and me-time. And from this, Audio Shed Productions sprouted to life!
